Responsible Gaming
at jibd
jibd believes that gambling should always be an enjoyable leisure activity — never a source of stress or financial hardship. Our responsible gaming framework gives every Bangladesh player the tools, information, and support needed to stay in control of their experience.
Gaming That Stays Fun
At jibd, responsible gaming is not a checkbox — it is a core part of how we build and operate our platform. We serve players across Bangladesh, from Dhaka and Chittagong to Sylhet and Rangpur, and we understand that the relationship between a player and their platform carries real responsibility on both sides.
Gambling should be entertaining. When it crosses the line into compulsion or financial pressure, it stops being a game. That is why jibd provides every registered player with a dedicated suite of tools designed to keep spending within limits you set, pause activity when you need a break, and seek support if you feel things are getting out of hand.
Our team monitors usage patterns that may suggest problem gambling behaviour and may reach out proactively if we notice signs of concern. We also encourage all players to make use of the self-assessment questions on this page and to contact our support team at any time — no judgement, no questions beyond what is needed to help you.
Remember: gambling is a form of entertainment, not a way to make money. You should only ever wager amounts you are comfortable losing, and you should never chase losses. If gambling stops feeling fun, please use the tools on this page or reach out to our support team immediately.
How jibd Protects Every Player
Every feature below is available to all registered jibd players at no cost. These protections are built directly into the platform and can be activated at any time by contacting our 24/7 English support team.
Deposit Limits
Set a daily, weekly, or monthly cap on the total amount you can deposit into your jibd account. Once a limit is reached, further deposits are blocked for that period. Limits take effect immediately when set and require a mandatory cooling-off period before they can be increased.
Session Time Limits
Set a maximum session duration after which your account will automatically log out. You can configure session reminders at intervals of your choice — for example, a notification every 60 minutes to encourage you to take a break and assess how your session is going.
Time-Out Periods
Request a temporary break from the jibd platform for a set period — 24 hours, 7 days, or 30 days. During a time-out, your account is suspended and you cannot log in, place bets, or make deposits. Time-out periods cannot be reversed once activated.
Self-Exclusion
For a more serious break, self-exclusion closes your jibd account for a minimum period of 6 months, with options extending to 1 year, 3 years, or permanently. During self-exclusion, jibd will also suppress all marketing communications to your registered contact details.
Loss Limits
Set a maximum net loss threshold per day, per week, or per month. When your net losses reach the limit you have chosen, betting and gaming activity on your account is paused for the remainder of that period. This tool is particularly useful for managing sports betting sessions.
Activity History
Access a full transparent record of your deposits, withdrawals, bets placed, games played, and session durations directly from your account dashboard. Reviewing your activity history regularly is one of the most effective ways to stay aware of your gambling patterns and spending.
How to Activate Your Responsible Gaming Controls
Activating any responsible gaming tool on jibd takes less than two minutes. Follow these steps or contact our support team directly and we will handle the request on your behalf.
Navigate to jibd.io and log in with your registered username and password. Ensure you are accessing the platform from a secure, private network connection.
From the main dashboard, navigate to your account profile menu. Select "Responsible Gaming" from the settings panel to view all available control options.
Select from deposit limits, session time limits, loss limits, time-out periods, or self-exclusion. Each option displays a clear explanation of how it works and what it affects before you confirm.
Enter the limit amount or duration you wish to apply. For deposit limits and loss limits, enter the amount in BDT (Bangladeshi Taka). For time-out and self-exclusion, select from the available duration options.
Review your chosen settings and confirm. The control takes effect immediately. You will receive a confirmation email to your registered address. Decreasing a limit or ending a self-exclusion early requires a mandatory waiting period.
We recommend reviewing your responsible gaming settings at least once a month alongside your activity history. If you feel your current limits are no longer sufficient, contact support immediately — we can apply stricter controls without any waiting period.
Warning Signs of Problem Gambling
Problem gambling can develop gradually and is often difficult to recognise in oneself. The following warning signs may indicate that gambling is becoming a problem. If you recognise several of these in your own behaviour, we strongly encourage you to use jibd's self-exclusion tool or seek external support.
Chasing Losses: Continuing to gamble after losing money in an attempt to win it back, often leading to larger and more impulsive wagers.
Spending Beyond Your Means: Wagering money needed for essential expenses such as rent, food, utilities, or family obligations.
Inability to Stop: Finding it difficult or impossible to walk away from a session even when you intended to stop, or when you have already exceeded your planned budget.
Preoccupation with Gambling: Spending significant time thinking about past gambling sessions, planning future bets, or looking for ways to obtain more funds to gamble with.
Concealing Gambling Activity: Hiding the extent of your gambling from family members, friends, or colleagues, or lying about wins and losses.
Borrowing Money to Gamble: Taking loans, borrowing from family or friends, or using credit facilities specifically to fund gambling activity.
Neglecting Responsibilities: Missing work, family commitments, social obligations, or health appointments due to time spent gambling or recovering from gambling-related stress.
Mood Dependent on Results: Experiencing significant changes in mood, anxiety, or irritability that are directly tied to wins and losses rather than other life factors.
Needing to Wager More for the Same Feeling: Progressively increasing bet sizes or session frequency to achieve the same level of excitement that smaller bets previously provided.
Ask Yourself These Questions
The following questions are adapted from internationally recognised problem gambling screening tools. They are intended as a personal reflection exercise, not a clinical diagnosis. Answer honestly — there are no right or wrong answers, only ones that help you understand your own relationship with gambling.
If you answer "yes" to three or more of these questions, we strongly recommend speaking with our support team and activating one or more of jibd's responsible gaming controls. If you answer "yes" to five or more, please consider self-exclusion and seeking professional support.
